Dates: Friday 14th November to Sunday 16th November 2025
Location: Novotel Brussels City Centre, Rue de la Vge Noire 32, 1000 Bruxelles. The location overlooks Saint Catherine Church/Square and is a few minutes from the Grand Place.
Description: The conference theme of Renewal will feature inspiring speakers Karen Northshield and Clarie Oppert. Karen Northshield is a Belgian-American athlete who survived the 2016 Brussels Airport Bombing. She had a nearly zero chance of survival, but has shown amazing resilience and now inspires others. Claire Oppert is a cellist and art therapist (and music teacher in nearby Waterloo) who has used her music for over 20 years to help persons, such as children with autism, people with neurodegenerative diseases, and palliative care patients.
Clubs from throughout Region 4, plus senior members of FAWCO globally, will meet for two days of interesting talks, networking events, best practice sharing and several exciting social events.
The event will start with dinner Friday evening at Le Roy d'Espagne, overlooking the Grand Place in Brussels. Saturday will be full of interesting events and speakers, on topics ranging from Brussels history and architecture, through FAWCO guest speakers, a chance to get to know members from others Clubs and a special event on Women's Rights in the EU! Throughout the event, curated art by a member will be displayed to support the theme of renewal. A gala dinner the Saturday night will be followed Sunday morning by a guided tour of Brussels from an expert Architect, rounding off a full weekend of exciting activities.
