These incredible flowers are in silk cotton or other materials
including metal. A former colleague of Yves St Laurent, the
owner took over these incredible premises and
now supplies flowers worldwide from Paris
fashion houses to palaces, in every shade
imaginable. Discover the history, 19th century archives, the machines and much more!
Free Parking + Guided visit of Wavre for those who wish in the morning followed by lunch in a restaurant. Lunch is at your own expense.
EVENT DETAILS: It is not required to come to the tour, and lunch, and silk flowers place tour. If you'd prefer to only come to the morning or afternoon, that is fine!

10:30 am - Wavre town tour. Meet at the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace and Concord (Basilique Notre Dame de la Paix et de la Concorde). Address is Rue du Calvaire 2, 1300 (Basse Wavre) Wavre (2-3 Km outside the city centre). There is lots of parking. After visiting the Basilica, we shall drive to Wavre for a walking tour in the town.
After Tour Lunch – the restaurant is to be determined by will be either at Babel(Gastronomic Lebanese), Rue Haute 30, 1300 Wavre or Greco (Greek, Mediterranean), Place Henri Berger 15, 1300 Wavre.
14:15 - Silk Flowers Tour. Meet at Bernard Depoorter, Rue du Béguinage 39, 1300 Wavre (city centre).
DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS :
Basilica of Our Lady of Peace and Concord (Basilique Notre Dame de la Paix et de la Concorde)
Rue du Calvaire 2, 1300 Wavre (about 2-3 Km from the city centre)
Directions to the Basilica for beginning of Wavre tour:
- take the Wavre exit (6) on E411 motorway
- at bottom of ramp, turn left towards city centre
- at the traffic light, turn right and first left (i.e. go round the Place Bosch)
- follow Chaussée de Louvain past traffic light,
- after “Technique Auto” turn left onto rue Pont du Try
- at roundabout take first right to the end of the road
- turn right and you will see the Basilica

Bernard Depoorter, Rue du Béguinage 39, 1300 Wavre (city centre).
- take the Wavre exit (6) on E411 motorway
- turn left towards city centre
- at traffic light Place Alphonse Bosch turn left
- go up the main street, rue du Pont du Christ
- take first right after the Maison communale, just after the roundabout = rue du Béguinage. Nr 39 is on the left. A one-way street
