Family Picnic @ Villers Abbey (to be rescheduled)

  • 23 Apr 2022
  • 10:30 - 13:30 (CEST)
  • Rue de l'Abbaye 55, 1495 Villers-la-Ville

TO BE RESCHEDULED

Listed as an exceptional heritage of Wallonia, the Cistercian Abbey of Villers-la-Ville has been remarkably preserved since the 12th century! Discover its reception-boutique area with a wide choice of local products, and its tour . Enjoy a 180 ° panoramic view of the entire Abbey. And dive into the past thanks to Ardoise , the interactive augmented reality tablet! At each of the 20 stations along your route, you will have access to various scripted multimedia content. Augmented reality gives life to architectural elements and to men who have disappeared today.

Admire there also the beauty of its 5 gardens of very different styles. The Medieval-inspired Jardin des Simples and the Monks' Garden present medicinal plants from yesterday and today. The Jardin de la Pharmacie and the Jardin de l'Abbé are two ornamental gardens. The Jardin des Senteurs welcomes a new space along the path dotted with fragrant beds: a Meditative Path. They also have a micro-brewery and a vineyard.

With family, friends or alone, (re) discover the Abbey of Villers-la-Ville, its architecture, its history, its gardens and its animals!

So as you see, the place is perfect for a visit and then enjoy a nice Family Picnic by the gardens.

Bring your own food, thermos and tea with you
