Come get to know Ghent, Flanders, through a real cultural tour experiencing Belgium most 'up-and-coming' city.
During this 2,5-3 h walking tour we will walk on medieval winding streets, will hear about the mystical legend left behind by Jan van Eyck, the festivals, and a lot more
Also, we will learn about Ghent's life in the Middle Ages and about Van Eyck and his famous altarpiece, whose disappearance is shrouded in legend.
We will also learn about the curiosities that are missing from the usual tours, local customs, and attitudes, but also about why it is the "greenest" city and about Ghent's famous local mowing team, the official herd of sheep.
The end of the trip is open, as usual, we can go to a teahouse, a pub or a restaurant to network a bit as usual. :)
The tour will be guided by our member Olga Vig, who lives for 7 years in the city and came to Belgium as an ex-pat.
