Further to the exhibition which took place recently at the BOZAR, but which had to close because of a fire, Mr. Adi Chesson will guide us on a journey to meet people, art and ideas from all over the world around the universal icon that is Beethoven. By means of this conference about the composer, his music and his ideas you will understand why Beethoven remains relevant to us today. Adi Chesson is particularly gifted at presenting his topic in a challenging way.
Beethoven, an exceptional musical innovator, provided us with a springboard for questions about the democratic and physical power of sound.
You will embark on a journey from popular culture to conceptual art, from 1770 to 2020, including manuscripts and instruments alongside work by artists such as Antoine Bourdelle, Andy Warhol, Katie Paterson and John Baldessari.
This event is hosted by WIC - the fee for partner clubs is 5 Euros.
To register please email Anik Becher: anikbecher@hotmail.com and make a bank transfer for the 5 Euros before 18 May. After payment, Anik will confirm your registration and send you the link to join the lecture along with the access code. Payment should be made to BE85 7350 3534 8606.
