Independence Day Celebration

Join us along with the ACB to celebrate Independence Day at the AWCB! 

This celebration will take place on Sunday, July 2 at the American Women’s Club of Brussels’ clubhouse at Avenue des Erables 1, 1640 Rhode St.-Genèse from noon to 5 p.m. 

The doors open at noon with a patriotic ceremony at 12:30, food is available from 1 to 3 p.m., and games for children will be at the top of the hour starting at 2 p.m. 

It will be a family-style picnic with hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks for purchase, potluck salads, assorted side dishes, and desserts. 

All net proceeds will be donated to the American Overseas Memorial Day Association.

Volunteers are needed to help with the picnic: organizing the children’s games, working at the barbecue and behind the bar, as well as helping with the set-up and clean-up. 

Please note that the ACB is responsible for bringing the side dishes and salads and the AWCB is in charge of desserts. So, please help us out by bringing a dessert. 

There is no entry fee, but early reservations are appreciated for us to get an approximate headcount, and please let us know if your plans change and you are unable to make it.
