Happy Spring! Is it safe to say that out loud? I think so. The days are getting longer. It’s a lot easier to get children out of bed and off to school when it’s not so dark in the morning. And while I am sure there are still plenty of rainy days in our immediate future, the likelihood that the rain turns into snow seems to be less of a threat every day.

We are excited about this spring issue of Rendez-vous. In honor of the 40th Annual Earth Day on April 22, 2010, we planned this issue and wrote our features with an environmental consciousness. In this issue, we also had fun asking Janet a few of our kitchen questions about cooking and baking in Belgium. Thank you to everyone who submitted a question. In addition, the book reviews are back. This time, we’re featuring some book reviews written by members of the Book Club, on books that they will be reading in the coming months.

We would also like to take this opportunity to announce a new feature. In our Member News column, we will be bringing you personal announcements from members, past and present.
